It's a wonderful day of lectures, workshops, hands-on work, (and lunch!), presented by amazing professional women. Each attendant comes away with something different but nearly all make new friends, and feel confident knowing that the world is so much better with radiant women in it!

Second & Fourth Friday Restorative Yoga and Lecture Series

We all look forward to our weekends off. It can be challenging though to shift gears from a hectic week and settle into a relaxed pace for those less structured days. Come, give yourself this time to center and ground yourself - to begin your weekend fresh and open, ready to embrace the opportunities the weekend presents. The session will begin with basic gentle poses to warm up the spine and proceed into a restorative practice. In restorative yoga we set the body up in completely supported postures, settle in and allow the body to rest. You'll also practice gentle guided breathing and meditation. These practices are deeply nourishing for the nervous system. You'll feeling refreshed and restored. Previous yoga or meditation experience is not necessary to participate. Refreshments are offered during lecture time. Please check back for lecture topics.

Women's Yoga & Mindful Eating

As the days get shorter our energy naturally draws inward. We often seek more quiet and introspective endeavors, as well as nurturing foods. In this fun and unique class we’ll begin with a gentle grounding yoga practice, transition into a collaborative cooking experience getting lots of great nutrition tips from Jennifer Adler, a well respected nutritionist and chef. Our delicious and warming meal of ruby red soup, braised greens and poached pears will begin with a short meditation and then . . . bon appetite! It’s hard to imagine a more wonderful way to spend an autumn evening! No Yoga, Meditation or Cooking Experience is necessary to participate. click here to register
Yoga for Children
Mondays, Jan 19 - Feb 23 — 3:30 - 4:10 pm, $50/series; $10 drop-ins
Yoga provides a non-competitive environment for children to explore their bodies and how they move. Yoga helps them to build self-confidence, self-awareness, coordination, strength and, flexibility, as well as the crucial skills of focusing and relaxing!
In these classes, yoga will be presented in a fun and playful format. The children will learn basic poses, breathing exercises, self-calming skills and some really fun yoga games. Ages 5-9. click here to register
Yoga for Teens
Thursdays, Jan. 22 - Mar. 12 — 7:30 - 8:30 pm, Registration is through Shoreline Parks and Rec. Dept.
